Email + Newsletter Sign Up. You may choose to provide us with personal information in an e-mail message to one of the addresses listed throughout the Site or by registering for our e-mail newsletter. We use this information only to respond to your message or to register you for the services you have requested. If you sign up for an e-mail newsletter, you have the option to unsubscribe at any time.
Applications. If you apply for a job, internship, education program or other we may ask you for additional information such as name, number, address, resume, education. We will not use this information for any other purpose than what you submitted it for.
Online registration of event tickets. The Studio Museum in Harlem uses third-party vendors to administer and process your online registration for Museum events. We also work with third-party contractors to process ticketing for certain events or registration for certain courses. The Studio Museum in Harlem requires its vendors to maintain the security of the information which you provide to them and restricts the vendors from using this information in any way not expressly authorized by The Studio Museum in Harlem.
Online surveys. From time to time, the Studio Museum may invite you to participate in surveys posted on the website. You may decide whether you wish to complete such surveys, which may ask about your background, occupation, or similar questions. Our third-party provider can process payments for members who have selected automatic renewal, and will retain payment information using tokenization technology for enhanced security.
Website tracking technologies. We may use other, similar technologies from time to time, like pixels (or “clear gifs”), third party ad-serving companies, and other tracking technologies to personalize and show ads to you and others on our website and elsewhere online and to measure their impact. Pixels are tiny graphics files that contain a unique identifier that enable us to recognize when someone has visited our Site. This allows us, for example, to monitor the traffic patterns of visitors from one page within our Site to another, to deliver or communicate with cookies, to understand whether you have come to our Site from an online advertisement displayed on a third-party website, to improve site performance, and to measure the success of marketing campaigns.
