Join us for Studio LIVE featuring writer Raven Leilani. Leilani’s work has been published in Granta, The Yale Review, McSweeney’s Quarterly Concern, Conjunctions, The Cut, and New England Review, among other publications. She received her MFA from New York University and was an Axinn Foundation Writer-in-Residence. Luster (2020) is her first novel.
During the program, Leilani will be in conversation with Legacy Russell, Associate Curator, Exhibitions. The pair will talk about themes of longing, loss, and intimacy as explored in Leilani’s critically-praised debut Luster. The conversation will also touch on Leilani’s career as a writer alongside her ongoing passion for the practice of painting.
