Apply to Teen Leadership Council

Application Due Date: Monday, October 28 by midnight.

Who is eligible?

You must be enrolled in high school or a GED program within the five New York City boroughs to participate.

Apply if you would like to:

  • Create dynamic public programs for teens
  • Engage with incredible artists, creative thinkers, and makers
  • Learn about the Studio Museum and meet with Museum staff
  • Collaborate with teens that share similar interests with you!


When does the Teen Leadership Council meet?

Program Dates: January–June 2020

Meetings: 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month from 4–6:30 pm (2x/month)

Orientation and Training Dates: Wednesday, January 8, 4–6:30 pm and Wednesday, January 22, 4–6:30 pm

Additional meeting dates Teen Leadership Council-organized events (dates to be determined.)

Attendance is mandatory for orientation and all meeting dates from January–July 2019. Meeting dates are very important to the success of this program.

To Apply

All applicants must submit the application form below and either upload or email one letter of recommendation from a teacher, guidance counselor, coach, employer, or supervisor to youth@studiomuseum.org.

Applications will be reviewed by a committee and only those invited for an interview will be contacted. Please email youth@studiomuseum.org with any questions.
