Join us in the Latimer/Edison Gallery at The Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture for a tour of Firelei Báez: Joy Out of Fire. In this exhibition, Báez features women whose legacies are preserved and maintained by the archives of the Schomburg Center. During the gallery tour, visitors will explore the artist's practice of using photographs, letters, and other archival materials to create large-scale, imaginative portraits. This dynamic and immersive inHarlem tour will have something for everyone: adults, families and kids of all ages are welcome!
