NYPL George Bruce Library, 518 W. 125th St
Tune into the power and flexibility of words with poet, vocalist, and sound artist, LaTasha N. Nevada Diggs as she performs her dynamic and embodied writing as part of this year's Turn It Up! Summer Reading Challenge. Diggs will share selections from TwERK—her fierce collection of poems, songs, and myths—as well as a recent project inspired by Kehinde Wiley's equestrian series of paintings. The reading and performance will be followed by an informal Q&A session with Diggs.
This Studio Salon is part of the Museum's ongoing partnership with George Bruce Library and is presented as part of inHarlem, The Studio Museum in Harlem's initiative designed to explore innovative ways to work in the community while taking the Museum beyond its own walls.
