Through artist-led creative workshops, film screenings, and literature-inspired events, the Museum brings artists and other cultural producers to live audiences, creating opportunities for the public to engage with art and artists beyond the gallery.

Studio Salon
Studio Salon invites language-lovers to a series of author talks, book clubs, and writing workshops inspired by our exhibitions. Exploring text as an important source material for artists, this program unpacks the dynamic intersections of literature and contemporary art.

Studio Screen
Studio Screen
celebrates the moving image as an important medium and influence for artists. These exhibitions-related screenings are followed by talkback sessions in which film writers and producers engage local artists, community organizers, and policy makers in unpacking the film’s thematic anchors through the lenses of their own work.

Studio Squared
Studio Squared
is a monthly series of informal, art-making workshops aimed at making a wide range of studio practices accessible to adult audiences. Each hands-on workshop is led by an exhibiting artist or Museum educator and explores a theme and creative process highlighted in the works on view. Including such mediums as figure drawing, collage, animation, and sculptural object-making, these lively workshops inspire the maker in everyone!
